For Genao, it is time to motivate national unity and not turn the withdrawal of the controversial bill and the migration issue against Haiti into an electoral campaign, for political gain.
He believes that what the political class and all social sectors should do is face the real enemies of the DR, who, in his opinion, are outside the country, in the big nations.
“President Abinader has proven to be a nationalist in practice, with the refusal to sign the declaration, at the request of President Joe Biden, very recently with the border wall, perimeter fence, against many contrary opinions in the country; with the massive deportations of the undocumented and the application of the immigration law,” he said.
