Parliamentarians from Cuba and Venezuela held a meeting

Rodríguez: There is no reason to continue a dialogue with people without a word

The vice president of the National Assembly of Popular Power of Cuba, Ana María Mari Machado, held a meeting on Sunday with the president of the National Assembly of Venezuela, Jorge Rodríguez, in which they discussed matters of interest.

The Cuban parliament reported on Twitter that Rodríguez would present his book “La Piel del lizard” at the 31st edition of the Havana Book Fair, highlights latin press.

The legislative bodies of both countries recently expressed the excellent state of bilateral relations and the prospects for developing solidarity in both directions and collaboration, during a meeting between deputy Edgardo Ramírez, president of the Cuba-Venezuela Parliamentary Friendship Group, and Ana María Mari Machado.

Venezuela came to the Fair with a broad literary proposal that includes titles published by publishers that make up the Platform for Books and Reading of the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture: The Dog and the Frog, Monte Ávila and Ayacucho Libraries.

In addition to publications from the Simón Bolívar Study Center, Commander Hugo Chávez’s Institute for Higher Studies of Thought, Foundation for Culture and the Arts of the Mayor’s Office of Caracas (Fundarte) and the William Lara National Assembly Editorial Fund.
