“Comrade ‘Carlos’ is from the first generation of MPCP fighters, whose military training was in charge of comrade ‘Alipio’. VRAEM police sources told La República that comrade “Carlos” leads an armed column, whose area of action is on the left bank of the Ene River, specifically in the area of the Vizcatán del Ene district (Satipo province, Junín). .
In order to attack the policemen, he had to cross to the right bank of the Ene, and continue on the road to the Apurímac River, in the vicinity of which are Natividad, where the police station is located, and Puerto Cocos, which is the place where the troops went to buy fish and other food.
