Video of the moment when police kill a child in Santiago

The moment when an agent of the Police Nacional shot a 12-year-old boy in the santiago carnival this Sunday afternoon was recorded on a video.

The material shows the father of Donaly Martinez struggling with several uniformed officers. His clothes are bloody, he cries desperately and complains to the agents. Several people are on the scene. Later the body of the minor is seen in a chair.

There is a lot of shouting and people accusing an officer of having shot the boy to death. “He killed him, he killed him, he shot the boy and killed him,” a man yells.

Then, the agent designated by those present as responsible for the shooting nervously walks away from the scene with his weapon in hand, while people try to corner him, but he approaches a patrol that mounts him in the truck and takes him away.

In the video it is recorded that the members of the patrol never tried to help the injured minor.

The boy was taken to a clinic in a car by desperate people. At the scene he was pronounced dead.
