The news that ‘Argentina, 1985’ has received the Goya Award for Best Ibero-American Film is proof of the talent of our country, and of a society that values the democracy”, expressed the president on Twitter, where he left his “congratulations” to the team behind the film.
“Argentina, 1985”, the film about the Trial of the Juntas directed by Santiago Miter and starring Ricardo Darín and Peter Lanzani, won the Goya Award for Best Ibero-American Film this Saturday at the Spanish film gala that took place in Seville.
Thus he added a new international award towards the Oscars, after having obtained the Golden Globe for Best Foreign Film at the beginning of January.
For her part, the presidential spokesperson, Gabriela Cerruti, celebrated “this well-deserved recognition”, by also sharing the images of the award ceremony on her Twitter account and underlining: “And the dictator died in prison. The Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Daniel Filmus, also sent “congratulations to the entire cast and filmmakers of Argentina 1985 for the well-deserved award” through his Twitter account after the news was released.
