Proinvestment has two public-private partnership (PPP) projects in the portfolio for La Libertad that will require an investment of more than US$700 million, the investment promotion agency revealed.
These projects are the Trujillo WWTP (US$ 368 million), and the Enlace Huánuco – Tocache – Celendín – Trujillo electric power transmission project (US$ 411 million), which will make it possible to meet the increased demand for electric power with efficiency and quality.
Director of ProinvestmentJosé Salardi, met with the regional governor César Acuña who informed that emphasis will be given to PPPs, as well as tax works.
At the meeting, Salardi offered technical support and synergistic work to promote the main projects in the department.
INSPECTIONS
During his trip to Trujillo, the director of the promotion agency inspected the completion of the modernization works of the Salaverry Port Terminal awarded in 2018.
The representative of Proinvestment verified the situational status of the Covicorti Wastewater Treatment Plant, which processes part of Trujillo’s sewage. It was verified that this plant -operated by SEDALIB- has outdated infrastructure and equipment, which is why it needs to be modernized.
Regarding the Trujillo Bus Terminal, José Salardi commented that this important infrastructure is a model to be followed in other cities of the country under the modality of Projects in Assets and improve its terrestrial connectivity.
