At the time of fleeing, Chacón Varela allegedly had the collaboration of his wife, who was waiting for him outside the prison in a Terios.
The subject was paying a sentence of 16 years in prison, by order of Trial Court 32 of the Caracas Metropolitan Area.
This man was arrested on August 16, 2020 in one of the entrance roads to Caracas when he was transporting 41 panelas of cocaine, according to a report prepared by the Bolivarian National Police (PNB).
Initially, Chacón Varela was held in the PNB Control and Protection Center for Detainees, located in La Yaguara, Caracas. But he was transferred to the Coro Penitentiary Community on January 28, 2022.
