Former Vice Chancellor Luis Hincapie, considers that Mexico was a little ahead with the appointment of Pedro Salmerón

He added that a mess was formed, both in Mexico and in our country, and the Foreign Ministry somehow, through diplomatic channels, told Mexico: do not bother to name this person, because we are going to reject him.

The lawyer and former vice chancellor, Luis Miguel Hincapie, addressed this Wednesday the issue of the appointment of Pedro Salmerón as ambassador of Mexico in Panama and now his recent decline to the position.

To Hincapie’s consideration, Mexico was a little ahead of Salmerón’s appointment. “It is not correct or usual, but they went ahead to say: ‘this is the person who is going to Panama,’” he said.

He added that a mess was formed, both in Mexico and in our country, and the Foreign Ministry somehow, through diplomatic channels, told Mexico: “don’t bother to name this person, because we are going to reject him.”
