Eighteen provinces adhere to the cap on increases in private school fees

Massa announced an agreement with the chambers of private schools.

Eighteen provinces will adhere to the cap on increases in fees of private schools agreed by the national government with the chambers of the sector, under the Fair Prices programannounced the Minister of Education, Jaime Perczyk.

“Today in the Federal Council of Education We present the agreement signed with (the Minister of Economy) Sergio Massa and (the Secretary of Commerce) Matias Tombolini that caps the fees of private schools and gives certainty and predictability to Argentine families,” said Perczyk.

In a message on his account on the social network Twitter, the Minister of Education revealed that “18 provinces told us that they adhere to the proposal and we invite the rest to join.”

“It is one more step towards the beginning of the next school year and a budgetary effort of the national governmentwhich increases year after year educational investment“, complete.

The districts that announced their accession They are Buenos Aires, Catamarca, CABA, Chaco, Chubut, Entre Ríos, La Pampa, La Rioja, Misiones, Río Negro, Salta, San Juan, Santa Cruz, Santa Fe, Santiago del Estero, Tierra del Fuego, Tucumán and Formosa.

Last Tuesday Massa announced an agreement with the chambers of private schools that contains “an increase guideline that intends to establish a mechanism until June that does not exceed the inflation target.”

The agreement includes a cap of increase for the beginning of classes of 16.38% and from there a path of 3.35% until June.
