School Year 2023: 60% of the educational material has already reached its destination, says Minedu

Despite the roadblocks by citizens protesting against the government of Dina Boluarte, 60% of the educational material distributed by the Ministry of Education (Minedu) is already in the local educational management units (UGEL) in the interior.

According to the Minister of Education, Oscar Becerra, the remaining 40% is on the way and will reach the students on schedule.

At another time, Minister Becerra indicated that this year his sector will distribute around 1,500 texts adapted to the Braille system and high-relief materials for children and adolescents with blindness and deafblindness who are in the national education system.

“The number of copies produced in 2023 quadruples that of 2020, the year in which only 400 texts adapted to braille were delivered. In 2021 no texts were adapted due to the health emergency of Covid-19″, accurate.
