Several people linked to investigations for crimes against Life and Personal Integrity, specifically in the Homicide modality, were apprehended from early hours through Operation Hammer carried out by the National Police and the Public Ministry.
According to Deputy Commissioner Pablo Villareal, more than 15 simultaneous search procedures were carried out in sectors of the San Miguelito district, the Metropolitan area, Panama East, the provinces of Panama West, Colón, Chiriquí and Bocas del Toro.
Among those apprehended are two suspects in homicides that occurred in the San Miguelito district, two in the district of 24 de Diciembre, two in the La Chorrera district and one in the Capira district.
Additionally, three other people were apprehended in the districts of David in the province of Chiriquí and Changuinola in the province of Bocas del Toro, linked to investigations for the crime of Personal Injury.
During the development of the raids, firearm ammunition and part of firearms were confiscated, evidence that was forwarded for due processing.
