“The political crisis is over. Today is a new day, it is a day of hope for Peru. Day of change, as we say, and definitely the doors of the ministries will be open to talk with all social organizations”, he referred to the press.
“As we have said, the Executive has been fulfilling what the President of the Republic offered during the campaign, which is to prepare a constituent moment for a new Constitution. But that constituent moment is not a leap into the void that can take place in 2 or 3 years, it has to be in 4, at least, in order to summon the living forces of the country”, added Valer.
The congressman, who came to Parliament with the Popular Renovation party, also assured that consensus must be reached by talking, since the country is experiencing a crisis situation. “We have to talk because Peru needs peace of mind.”
Likewise, he referred to the alleged advisers with a negative background around President Pedro Castillo: “We tomorrow [miércoles] We will evaluate in the Council of Ministers. We will receive reports, of course, and if there were any advisers with a history of reprehensible conduct, we will have to remove them, ”he said.
For his part, through his social networks, the President of the Republic indicated that he ratifies the “commitment to work for Peru, prioritizing the needs of all Peruvians and the great reforms that will consolidate national well-being”, this within the framework of the presentation of his new Ministerial Cabinet.
Valer’s cabinet was joined by 10 new ministers in very important portfolios, such as the Economy and Finance, as well as the Ministry of the Environment, which is in the midst of an environmental crisis due to the oil spill on the Peruvian coast.
Doubts about advisors
After announcing her departure from the Executive, Mirtha Vásquez expressed her concern about the team of advisers surrounding the head of state.
“I want to express my concern about the environment of advisers that (Pedro Castillo) has, which many times make him make these types of mistakes. Instead of making visible what it is, they make these wrong decisions, ”he pointed out in dialogue with RPP.
In his turn, Carlos Jaico warned in his letter of resignation as secretary general of the Presidential Office that a “shadow cabinet” has a “harmful influence” on Pedro Castillo.
“With your consent, you [Pedro Castillo] he has preferred to maintain them and continue down this path of erratic decisions that have led to a serious institutional crisis,” he lamented in the document.
