The government of Turkey, through its embassy in Mexico, thanked the Mexican government yesterday for sending rescue teams to help with emergency work after the devastating earthquakes registered on Monday in the southeast of the country.

expressed the diplomatic delegation in a message on social networks, in which it labeled President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard, among other officials.
The Turkish embassy in Mexico also published a list of donations for the victims of the disaster, which includes winter clothing for children and adults, emergency materials such as tents, blankets, sleeping bags, flashlights and power generators, as well as non-food items. perishables, baby food, diapers and hygiene and cleaning products.
The Turkish representation indicated that the aid will be received at the embassy headquarters, located at Monte Líbano 885, Lomas de Chapultepec neighborhood.
Meanwhile, Ebrard announced that yesterday morning a Mexican Air Force plane took off from the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) bound for Turkish territory, carrying 150 agents from the Navy and National Defense secretariats, as well as of the Mexican Red Cross, Civil Protection and Foreign Relations (SRE).
It is a specialized inter-institutional urban search and rescue team, which has personnel accredited by the National Accreditation Mechanisms. WEAR

The team includes medical and food service cells, 35 search and rescue experts from the Immediate Response Team for Emergencies or Disasters of the Mexican Army (25 specialists and 10 dog lovers), 37 elements of the Secretary of the Navy (35 USAR and two pairs), five officials of the SRE and 15 members of the Red Cross.
The plane, crewed by 12 members of the Mexican Air Force, took off from AIFA at 7:25 am bound for the Adana airport, Turkey, with a stopover at the Ontario and Gander terminals, Canada; as well as that of Shannon, Ireland.
Ebrard added, on the other hand, that the SRE will support the Topos Rescue Brigade to travel to Turkey. Ebrard wrote on social media when responding to a request from the group of first responders.
Meanwhile, the foreign ministers of the countries that are members of the MIKTA group – Mexico, Indonesia, the Republic of Korea, Turkey and Australia – expressed their deep sorrow for the loss of life and destruction caused by the earthquakes.
