The “Harry Potter” saga kicked off 25 years ago, and to celebrate, a new video game, “Hogwarts Legacy,” is out this Friday. Its launch occurs first in the PC environment and the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles, and later on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
The game proposes embody a student of the famous school of sorcerers, with magic courses and multiple challenges. “We knew that if the players could experience the same situations, that would be a dream come true,” Alan Tew, director of the game, produced by the Avalanche studio and the American giant Warner Bros., explained to AFP.
The game is “a mix between the ‘Harry Potter’ universe, which accompanied our childhood, and the possibility of playing in an open world like that of ‘Grand Theft Auto'”explains the French businessman Quentin Seigneur, 31, a declared fan of the series.
“Grand Theft Auto” is a game with multiple scenarios, in which the user chooses his missions that modify his journey through the urban setting of the series.
The controversy with Rowling
The author of “Harry Potter”, the British JK Rowling, has been the object of the ire of activists for the rights of trans people for several years, because she opposes the generalization of the use of the term “woman” to men who They want to change their sex.
Rowling, who declares herself a feminist and has carried out several projects against sexual violence, also declares herself hostile to laws and programs that facilitate sex change operations for minors.
