He Governor of Entre Ríos, Gustavo Bordetasked this Wednesday again to “eliminate asymmetries” that arise in the cost of public transport, electricity and drinking water between the City and the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA) and the provinces, with a “more equitable” distribution of the “subsidies and resources”.
“We are all Argentines and if the subsidy is late for us, we are complicated,” said the provincial president when inaugurating the V Regional Education Conference in Paraná.
In this framework, Bordet asked that there be a “relationship between what Entre Ríos generates through Salto Grande and the rate” charged in that province for the electrical service, since “there is no benefit”.
“We ask -he continued- to be comparable in the rates that other provinces have, fundamentally with the great asymmetry that exists with the AMBAwith rates three or four times cheaper than the rest of the country and that has a great impact.”
The Entre Ríos governor called to work “for a fairer country”, and recalled that his management generated measures to cause “the least impact on pockets”, such as the suspension of the 20% increase in the provincial component of the electricity bill.
In addition, he explained that when the “400% tariffs of the previous government” took place, we also raised this debate, which is a slogan of all Entre Ríos and Argentines.

In November 2022, Bordet spoke out in favor of sanctioning a law that establishes a differential electricity tariff for the provinces that generate electricity.

Regarding the public transportBordet pointed out today that Entre Ríos “pays $120 million per month in transportation subsidies, while in the Federal Capital it costs three times less” for the bus ticket.
He also pointed to the transport companies, mainly “those that have a monopoly like in Paraná”, and assured them that “they have to have the responsibility of paying their workers on time and properly regardless of the subsidy.”
