In two days, more than 7,200 tourists arrive at the ports of Colón and Amador

During the weekend, more than 7,200 tourists were attended by the National Immigration Service (SNM), at the Panama Port Terminal, in Colón, and at the Home Port Cruise Terminal, in Amador, as part of the 2023 cruise season in the country.

According to the SNM, at the Panama Port Terminal, he attended the Wind Star with the Bahamas flag and the Pan Orama at the Gatun Lake Port, with the Greek flag, while on Sunday, February 5 at the Home Port Cruise Terminal, the migratory units attended the Radiance of the Seas with the flag of Nasau, Bahamas.

Among passengers and crew in the province of Colón, immigration inspectors and supervisors attended a total of 3,226 people.

On the other hand, on the same dates the maritime movement in Amador was also activated, with the arrival of the Bahamas-flagged cruise ships, Norwegian Jewel and Star Legend. The first brought with it 2,614 passengers and 1,025 crew members, making a total of 3,639 people; while the Star Legen had 198 crew members and 213 passengers; adding a total of 411 citizens.

This activity has a positive impact on economic reactivation, while involving inter-institutional work of the National Government. To facilitate the arrival and departure of tourists who board these ships, the team of the Joint Task Force, through the National Migration Service (SNM), the Environmental, Rural and Tourism Police, the ATP and the Panama Maritime Authority ( AMP) carry out operational actions that expedite the movement of visitors.

During the 2022 cruise season, more than 100,000 tourists visited Panama.
