Former President Eduardo Rodríguez Veltzé addressed President Luis Arce on Tuesday to ask him to convene all State bodies and the opposition to work on a structural reform of justice, since “the population expects solutions, not commissions.”

“President Arce, convene the organs of power and the opposition to work in consensus on a structural reform of justice. The population expects solutions, not commissions,” the former head of state posted on his Twitter account, in response to a previous tweet. of the President, in which he announced the creation of a commission to follow up on cases of rape and femicide.

Earlier this Tuesday, President Arce announced the creation of the Commission for the Review of Rape and Feminicide Cases, with the aim of reviewing those cases in which convicted femicides and rapists have benefited from freedom.

“Given the worrying situation and conduct of judges and justice operators, we instruct the creation of the Commission for the Review of Cases of Rape and Femicide in which those sentenced were released. It must present results within a maximum period of 120 days” Arce reported on his social networks.
