This Sunday, February 5, deputy Yanibel Abrego from the “El Cambió es Ya” payroll in Burunga, led an intense day in the districts of Arraiján and San Miguelito where she received the support of more than 3,000 members of the Cambio Democrático (CD) party.
Ábrego was accompanied by deputies, the candidates for the Secretary of Women and Youth Nadine González and Derick Chavarría, as well as the former President of the Republic Ricarda Martinelli.
“We aspire to have an alliance with Ricardo Martinelli and with Realizando Metas to govern again, we do not want any alliance with Varela or with Panameñismo, for this reason I hope to preside over Cambio Democrático in the near future,” said Ábrego.
He pointed out that Panamanians are unemployed and referred to Vice President José Gabriel Carrizo, stating that “a candidate in Penonomé has the cynicism to say that he wants to continue progress, what progress? if the Panamanians are eating a cable with the PRD government ”he affirmed.
In both activities, the Deputy asked to support the “Change is Now” payroll conventionalists and also those who aspire to be the Women and Youth Secretaries Nadine González (current mayor of Chepigana, Darién) and Derick Echeverria (Mayor in Bocas del Toro).

At this event, former President Martinelli stated that only dead will he not run for president on May 5, 2024. “They are going to have to kill me, but on May 5 we are going to the elections,” he said, assuring that when he arrives to power will return to Panamanians everything they deserve and that the last governments have not given them.
In San Miguelito, more than 1,800 members registered in CD participated and the event was organized by the first Congresswoman to have a CD: Dalia Bernal, who aspires again to the County Council.
