The UDI held its General Council this Saturday in which they decided to suspend the registration of the electoral pact of Chile Vamos -in view of the elections of the Constitutional Council- until Monday, the deadline, to form a single list among the “collectivities of Rejection “to join the Republican Party.
The General Secretary of the UDI, Maria Jose Hoffmannpointed out that “we agreed to suspend the registration of the electoral pact of Chile Vamos until Monday, to make the last attempt with the parties that were in favor of the rejection”.

“The Government has not renounced its re-foundational vocation, we saw it in the case of pardons, therefore, the unity of our sector is essential, especially on the part of the Republican Party. It is not an election to measure political forces, it is an choice to be united. For this reason, we invite you again to think about a pact between all of us,” they added.
However, the Republican Party registered this Saturday its declaration of candidacies for the Constitutional Council before the Electoral Service (Servel).
Meanwhile, the General Council of the UDI ratified the list of candidates for constitutional councillors. The instance reaffirmed the name of the former Minister of the Interior Rodrigo Delgado as a candidate for the Metropolitan Region.
The national councilors and different party authorities participated in the meeting.
Evópoli approves agreement with Chile Vamos
For its part, the General Council of Evópoli approved the pact with its partners from Chile Vamos. “This morning from 10:00 a.m. the General Council of the Political Evolution Party met, in which 70 of 98 Councilors participated,” the group said in a statement.
“On the occasion, the collegiate body approved by a large majority the formation of an electoral pact with Renovación Nacional and the Unión Demócrata Independiente and approved the appointment of 27 candidates to the Constitutional Council in 12 regions of the country,” they added.
The party indicated that “the National Board was authorized to make the necessary adjustments to the candidacies within the approved pact, in order to complete the regional lists with the other parties and meet the parity requirements that govern this election.”
