Abel Martínez: "There is much to do and unfortunately this government does not listen"

The Vega.- The province of La Vega was chosen by the presidential candidate of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) Abel Martinez, to resume the rapprochement meetings with the militancy of the purple party and with the productive sectors of the country, having as a priority, listening to the concerns of the communities, and carrying the message of hope and renewal that he represents today from the PLD.

In the various activities, Martínez expressed that the hardships that the Dominican Republic is experiencing are due to the fact that we currently have a president “who does not care about the country, who does not care about youth, or single mothers.

“There is a lot to do and unfortunately this government does not listen and instead of spending money trying to twist wills, they should invest it in the people, because you can buy the people by lowering their food, speaking the truth, helping them to have jobs; the people are bought, feeling what the people feel and looking for solutions”.

One of the topics addressed by the PLD presidential candidate was health, stressing the importance of preventing diseases and not abandoning high-risk patients to their fate.

“You have to think about health, prevent disease, and it is unfortunate that high-cost medicines are no longer reaching the people who need them. It is also necessary to think about primary care and ensure that diseases such as cancer can be detected before it develops, because that way, the State will save money, but we will save lives,” said Martínez.

The peledeista presidential candidate He assured that in his 23 years as a public servant, what he has promised has always been fulfilled and in his opinion, it is not what is happening in this government, “they arrived lying, they continue to lie and they want to be re-elected lying”

“I am not an entrepreneur, I am not a merchant; I am a public servant dedicated to others and we are touring the country to tell you, the Dominicans, that I come from the countryside, but that I was a prosecutor, I know what justice is, I know what it is to prosecute crime ; I was a deputy and I know how to make the laws and I am now the mayor of Santiago, a city that we have turned into the model city of the Dominican Republic,” said Abel, also assuring that “listening to them I feel a greater commitment to do things well”.

Abel Martínez’s activities began with a visit to the Bishop of the Diocese of La Vega and Grand Chancellor of UCATECI, to later continue meetings with PLD leaders in different municipalities; with professionals, with field producers and with community members, among others.
