In accordance with what was announced by the Government, better prices will be established in at least 7 cuts of meatwhich are the most in demand, this after reaching an agreement with refrigerators and supermarkets, who expressed their support for the project so that more Argentines can acquire this food.
The cuts of meat that will have a new price scheme per kilo would be: the roast, which on average would be sold at $699; empty, at $749; the roast lid, at $639; the matambre will be obtained in $779; while the skirt will be at $499 and the shoulder and buttock at $649 and $799 respectively.
The official announcement on the new rates would be issued this week by the Ministry of Domestic Trade, and it would be extended until next April 7. In addition, the Government announced that some 12,000 tons of meat.
This contribution will be made by the exporting refrigerators of the ABC Consortium, the Union of the Meat Industry (UNICA) and the Federation of Argentine Regional Refrigeration Industries (FIFRA), who will be able to 6,000 tons of the product and the other 6,000 tons will be arranged by the Association of United Supermarkets.
