Security in the San Miguelito district will be reinforced at the end of February. This Saturday, the Minister of Public Security, Juan Manuel Pino, and Vice Minister Ivor Pitti participated in a meeting with the National Police board to follow up on the actions that were have developed in the last 72 hours in the district and there he revealed the security strategies that will be undertaken in this area of ​​the country.

Minister Pino pointed out that security in the district will be reinforced with units of the National Air-Naval Service and the National Border Service, to guarantee security and social peace in the communities of the district.

At the end of February, the San Miguelito district will have a video surveillance center with more than 600 cameras located at different points.

So far this year, National Police units have carried out more than 120 raids in different sectors of the district, achieving the seizure of illegal substances, plus 20 firearms and the capture of 300 people for different crimes.
