A third of the Latin American countries in which the most searched occupation through Google was analyzed registered the search “influencer”, while “youtuber” was also a frequent result. Globally, the profession on which more information is consulted is “pilot”
A report with data from Google shows that, when entering the term “how to be…” in Venezuela in this search engine, most Internet users complete the search with the word “influencer.” In other words, this is the occupation for which more information is sought in the country.
The results of the study were published by remittlya financial services company that analyzed search data to try to determine which professions generate the most interest in 25 countries studied, including Venezuela.
The study shows that new occupations are beginning to occupy space among the interests of young people, leaving behind traditional professions that are usually achieved after obtaining an academic degree.
The data in Latin America show that, not only in Venezuela, but in most of the region, the most sought-after occupations are “influencer” and “youtuber”, two disciplines that emerged in the last decade that have a strong impact on youth despite not require formal studies.
Searches for “influencer” predominate in Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay and Argentina; while the word “youtuber” is the most researched in Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Uruguay.
At the margin of this trend are Brazil, which searches for the term “businessman”, Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago with “writer”, French Guiana with “lawyer” and the Malvinas Islands with “pilot”.
In the region, no country recorded the majority of searches for “how to be…” for traditional professions such as doctor, journalist, teacher, among others.
Despite this regional trend, the most searched profession globally is “pilot”, which registered 930,630 searches; “writer” followed with 801,200 and “dancer” completes the podium with 278,720.
In this world ranking, the term “youtuber” appears in fourth place with 195,070 searches and “influencer” appears in seventh position with 159,180 queries on Google.
The study was carried out between October 2021 and October 2022, analyzing searches for the term “how to be…” on Google, determining the location of Internet users according to their IP addresses.
