47.8 thousand registered jobs were created: the total already exceeds 13 million jobs

The number of people with registered work in the country reached 13,018 million in November 2022, according to the latest report prepared by the Ministry of Labor based on data from the Argentine Integrated Pension System (SIPA).

In seasonally adjusted terms, the work registered in November increased 0.4% in relation to the previous month (47.8 thousand more people); and, compared to the same period in 2021, it marked an advance of 5.1%adding around 630,800 new jobs.

Of this total, there were 10.138 million people with registered salaried employment (including the private sector, the public sector and work in private homes) and 2.880 million people with independent employment (monotributistas and self-employed).

During the eleventh month of last year, the private sector contributed the most to job creation (+12 thousand people), followed by the public sector (+7.9 thousand people).

The group of people with registered salaried employment presented a non-seasonal variation of 0.2% in the last month (20.8 thousand more workers), specified the report of the Ministry of Labor released this Friday.

For his part, self-employment grew 0.9% in relation to the previous month (27 thousand more jobs).

This expansion is mainly explained by the increase in the number of workers who adhered to the monotributo (+1.6%, 31.4 thousand workers), higher than the drop observed in the number of workers covered by in the social monotributo (-0.8%, 4.7 thousand people less).

On the other hand, work in the autonomous regime presented a variation of 0.1%.

In the year-on-year comparison, the total number of men and women workers with salaried employment expanded 3.4% (+331 thousand workers).

This increase was mainly due to the expansion of the private sector (+4.5%, 269.3 thousand people) and, secondly, to the growth of the public sector (+1.8%, 58.9 thousand more jobs). .

Work in private homes presented a positive variation of 0.6% in relation to November 2021 (3 thousand more workers).

Finally, self-employment as a whole expanded 11.6% (+299.5 thousand workers) in the interannual comparison.

Self-employment as a whole was driven by the single-tax categories (+39.7% social single-tax and +7.7% single-tax).

For its part, the number of contributors to the self-employed regime presented a moderate increase (+1.3%).

December figures

Meanwhile, according to the results of the Survey of Labor Indicators (EIL) corresponding to December, the level of private employment registered in companies with more than 10 employed persons, of the total number of agglomerates surveyed, contracted 0.3% in relation to the last month.

This fall was mainly due to the reduction in employment for seasonal reasons in the Construction and Education sectors.

Excluding these sectors, the level of private registered employment reached a growth of 0.2%.

Regarding personnel movements, the departure rate presents a slight growth and stands at 2.2%, a value in which it fluctuates, with slight variations, since July 2022; and the entry rate presents a descending behavior and stands at 1.9 percentage points.

The net expectations of companies in relation to the hiring of personnel for the next three months continue to be positive (2.2%).

Positive expectations for the hiring of personnel have been registered uninterruptedly since February 2021, that is, 23 consecutive months.
