The Municipality of Rosario announced that a new rate for urban buses will begin to apply on Monday, which will cost 99 pesos per trip.
The new value represents an increase of 16.47% compared to the current rate of 85 pesos.
From the Rosario Executive they remembered that the last update was at the end of September “so in the last 5 months the price was not modified”.
They indicated that in this period in many inputs prices rose and gave as an example of this that from “October to December lubricants increased by 24.65%, tires by 14.49% and wages by 21.21%.”
Regarding the last cost study carried out by the municipality, they said that “in December 2022 it showed an increase of 15.97%, placing the cost per passenger at $143.91, 45% above the rate that will begin to apply as of next Monday.”
The tariff update will also affect the public bicycle system named in Rosario “My bike, your bike”what will happen from the $103.68 current to a new value of $120.77.
The increases were announced after a meeting held today between the mayors of the cities of Rosario, Córdoba and Santa Fe, in which it was decided to apply the update of the so-called “federal rate”.
The city of Córdoba will apply the measure from the first minute of this Saturday, while Santa Fe and Rosario will do so from Monday.
