An alleged criminal was killed and three others were arrested in sequential events recorded in the community of Maimón, Monseñor Nouel. He was in interventions deployed by agents attached to the Central Investigation Directorate (Dicrim).
The officers were following up on the murder of police sergeant Yeysen Gustavo Montero Florentino. The criminal action occurred in the early morning of the same day at kilometer 14 of the Duarte Highway.
The alleged deceased antisocial responded to the name of Cristian Espinosa “Chocolate Macron”, who died in a health center where he was taken presenting bullet wounds, caused by police officers who repelled a shooting attack. In the possession of the deceased today, he seized a revolver with an illegible mark and number, with which he attacked the acting agents.
While those detained in the case are Brady Mejía, Luis Miguel Moya Almonte and Brayan Alberto Suero, who, together with the now deceased “Chocolate Macron”, were wanted for the murder of police officer Montero Florentino.
In the intervention, a gray Kia car, license plate A788521, was also seized, in which they were traveling when they killed the aforementioned police officer.
Background
The law enforcement institution specified that “Chocolate Macron” was also being persecuted for his alleged participation in the death of the sergeant major of the Dominican Republic Navy (ARD), Rómulo de los Santos Vargas Gutiérrez, on September 12, 2022.
It is also linked to the double homicide of Efren Osiris Manzueta Romero and Jefrey Encarnación Merán, an event that occurred on December 26, 2022.
