Maduro: 24 years ago Venezuela began a new path

In the activity of the 24th anniversary of the Bolivarian Revolution, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, pointed out that 24 years ago the Venezuelan people saw the light of a genuine Bolivarian project at the hands of Commander Chávez.

He repudiated the betrayals that the Revolution has suffered and highlighted the tongues and pens that called themselves left and in reality have torpedoed the revolutionary process that has already reached more than three decades, its second stage being the one that celebrates its 24th anniversary this Thursday, since the swearing in of Chávez in 1999, after prevailing in democratic elections with all the conditions against it.

He stressed that the Bolivarian Revolution is the most intense period the nation has experienced, and celebrated that “on a day like today (February 2, 1999 when President Hugo Chávez was inaugurated) a new path began… a new stage with the oath of Commander Hugo Chávez”, and expressed that the country continues on the paths of national independence, of dignity, “in 24 years we have built a homeland proof of betrayals”.

“Whatever comes, we are ready to face them on those roads,” Maduro said.

Tariffed tongues and pens

President Maduro repudiated the “priced languages, priced pens, who call themselves leftist” and highlighted how, in an act of betrayal of the ideals they claimed to follow, “they tried to establish themselves as Chavistas” while accusing Commander Chávez of being a caudillo and autocrat.

“Traitors arise from the ego and the dirty money of the enemy who buys the tongues, pens, and wills of almost insignificant minorities, but who must be kept at bay with the truth,” Maduro said, referring to how the common people are incapable of betraying the principles that Chávez bequeathed.

The president recalled that the first act carried out by President Chávez after being sworn in was to call a referendum to call a National Constituent Assembly, which allowed the nation to be refounded.

He also recalled that the Bolivarian Revolution came with the votes of the people and with those votes it has kept pace despite adversities.

24 years celebrates the second stage of the Revolution

The president stressed that after betrayals throughout history on “the winding roads” that the people traveled, the time of light arrived with Bolívar’s “genuine project” that emerged from the catacombs, from ordinary people, of the working and peasant classes, who are loyal, like the national government, to the popular class.

It is “24 years since the light was finally turned on,” said Maduro, explaining that “the revolutionary path that has had several stages began” and explained that “what we (the people of Venezuela) are as a people is the product of a historical process, of forging, of struggle, of the emergence of identity values”, he said and described the periods characterized by the analysis of the Bolivarian Revolution in more than 30 years of struggle.

He pointed out that the first period was of armed struggle when the rebellion in Caracas broke out on February 27, 1989, while the second period of the Bolivarian Revolution today, February 2, 2023, is 24 years old, which allowed us to demonstrate that an alternative model to the neoliberalism is possible and it was done from Venezuela.

The president pointed out the arrogance of the former US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, when he confessed that he had recommended to the then president of that country, Donald Trump, a military invasion, but that this is only the most harmful intention, because the most harmful action consists of in the more than 900 coercive measures to suffocate the country.

Regarding the third stage, that of resistance, Maduro reiterated the denunciation of how from the US Treasury department that claims that Venezuelan oil and gas products purchased by third parties are paid with food, “Venezuela is not going to get stuck with the Ofac (US Office of Foreign Assets Control) colonial models,” he said.

“Send the Ofac model out of here,” the president instructed the head of Economy, Delcy Rodríguez, and Oil, Tareck El Aissami.

The president explained that in the fourth stage, which refers to the recovery and consolidation of the Bolivarian Revolution, Venezuelans will see a new, socialist and deeply human, inclusive and diversified society, with the development of a political model that allows the maximum social happiness.

The president recalled those who over the 24 years were part of the Bolivarian Revolution, and sentenced “honor and glory” to the revolutionaries who accompanied the process and who have already passed away.

Celebrated the start of the Gran Caracas 2023 Caribbean Series

The president celebrated the start of the Gran Caracas 2023 Caribbean Series, which opened this Thursday with two games at the Simón Bolívar and Jorge Luis García Carneiro stadiums in Caracas and La Guaira and assured that both stadiums are up to the most modern and comfortable in the world.

He also referred to the inauguration of the first Technological Science Park, which was in charge of the Science and Technology portfolio, which concluded in record time, only 7 months. “Two important works yesterday in this February of lights”, he highlighted.

The president asked the heads of Health and Education to deliver 49 health and education works and centers, among which hospitals, popular clinics, CDI and comprehensive care and educational works stand out.

Delivery of 49 works for the people

The head of state pointed out that this Thursday 42 health works are delivered; eight in Aragua, seven in Caracas, five in Amazonas, five in Apure, three in Trujillo and Yaracuy, and one in the states of Bolívar, Barinas, Carabobo, Lara and Mérida “made with the Bricomiles (Military Community Brigades for Education and Health)» with voluntary work. He added that the Institute for Social Protection and Assistance of the Ministry of Education (Ipas ME) also receives five health centers for teachers in the country.

The first of the 49 works that authorized their delivery was in the La Suiza de Petare sector, in Miranda state, it is a Simón Rodríguez Socialist Mission Base, this with the presence of the entity’s governor, Héctor Rodríguez, and the mayor of the Sucre municipality, José Vicente Rangel.

Then the president handed over houses in the Paratepuy sector in Bolívar state, highlighting that in the most recent stage of the Great Housing Mission Venezuela, as well as in the stage started by Commander Chávez, real houses have been delivered and not called “housing solutions, which were a hoax, because they were neither solutions nor housing” and assured that they were “matchboxes” instead of habitable spaces.

He pointed out that the great achievement of handing over a “turnkey” home is not enough, but that it is necessary to “build popular power… with the handing over of the building, the apartment, the house, the work begins,” he pointed out and assured that This work of building socialism at the bases is the maximum goal to be achieved.

Then, from Táchira, the inauguration of the Hugo Rafael Chávez Frias High School took place in Caneyes, Guásimos municipality, through the Bricomiles. Governor Freddy Bernal and the mayor of the area were present at the opening ceremony.
