Protesters return to the streets of Lima against Boluarte

Lima (EFE).- A new demonstration toured the streets of downtown Lima for another day this Thursday to demand the resignation of the president Dina Boluartethe closure of Congress and the advancement of elections, a protest which included communities from various parts of Peru.

Half of Peru will die defending our homeland,” cried the spokesman from the delegation of the mining district of Chalhuahuacho, also in Apurímac, where Boluarte is also a native.

The Ombudsman of Peru confirmed this Thursday that a minor died in an event linked to the road blockade of anti-government protests on December 12 in Caylloma, in the southern department of Arequipa, bringing the number of deaths to 66 since The demonstrations began in December.

According to data from this institution, 47 people who participated in the protests died as a result of clashes, while a policeman died after being burned alive by protesters.

Added to these victims are eleven deaths in events related to roadblocks, including the minor confirmed today, as well as a woman who died in the northern region of La Libertad, confirmed by the Police.
