The president of the SCJN, Norma Lucía Piña, appointed Francisco Javier Esquinca Cuevas general director of social communication, and Santiago José Vázquez Camacho general director of institutional relations of the highest court.
Esquinca Cuevas, who until last week was listed in the Court’s organizational chart as deputy director of communication, is a lawyer from UNAM and has worked as an advisor at the Federal Institute for Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data and at the National Commission for Human rights.
Within the SJCN, he worked in the direction of Human Rights and in the presentation of Minister Piña.
Vázquez Camacho studied law at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México and has served as a lawyer in the court and in the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights. In the SCJN he was assistant secretary and after study and account in the presentation of the minister Arturo Zaldívar, later he spent time in the Electoral Tribunal of the Judiciary of the Federation and then returned to the Court to be secretary of study and account of Piña, who yesterday also protested against Judge Taissia Cruz Parcero as general director of the Federal Institute of Public Defender, replacing Netzaí Sandoval.
