The civil association Cascos Verdes reported on Wednesday the opening of registrations for its Environmental Education Program, a proposal for a virtual modality so that people with disabilities are trained in environmental issues and improve the use of technology and their social and autonomic skills.
The program, which lasts for four yearsis held remotely twice a week, which provides a great opportunity to access from any Spanish-speaking country, the organization said in a statement.
Furthermore, this modality allows reaching localities and provinces that have few educational opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities.
during the course environmental issues and the appropriate and practical use of different technological tools will be addressed, promoting environmental care through the creation of digital campaigns.
The theoretical classes complement each other with different practices, such as visits and virtual educational workshops.
Also, networking with other institutions and organizations that train students in specific topics that complement what has been worked on in class.
“Students encounter different challenges during the Program, but they are always guided by a specialized team that accompanies them throughout the process,” said Juana Pérez Cobo, head of the initiative.
In this way, at the end of the four years of study, the students will receive the honorary title of Environmental Educators, awarded by Green Helmets.
Meanwhile, they clarified that the admission process can also be done remotely, And some of the basic requirements to join this proposal are: being over 18 years of age, having a basic level of literacy, mastering the Spanish language and having a device with connectivity.
