Through the General Secretariat, the TE notified Rómulo A. Roux M; in his capacity as president and legal representative of the CD, the decision adopted in the Plenary Agreement issued by the Magistrates of the Electoral Tribunal, based on article 111, numeral 4 of the Electoral Code.
Specifically, this Plenary Agreement 3-1 of January 23, 2023 “suspends public financing to the Cambio Democrático party for failing to comply with the obligation to timely renew its management bodies or authorities in the term ordered by the numeral of article 111 of the Code Electoral”.
The suspension of financing occurs after the term of the current delegates to the national convention expired on January 20, 2023, without their replacements having been elected.
According to the TE, the CD may file an appeal for reconsideration within five (5) business days following its notification.
