On April 18, Nicaragua marks the fifth anniversary of the social protests that began in 2018 and were repressed by the Police and paramilitaries, leaving dozens of assassinated, political prisoners, and thousands of exiles. To date, the dictator Ortega has imprisoned more than 230 opponents, including 12 Catholic priests.
