Venezuela and Spain strengthen cooperation in multilateral affairs

Venezuela and Spain outline lines of work this Wednesday, with the firm purpose of consolidating matters of bilateral and multilateral interest in the Ibero-American scenario.

The information was released by the Venezuelan Foreign Minister, Yván Gil, through his account on the social network Twitter, in which he explained that he had a “productive meeting” with the Spanish ambassador to the country, Ramón Santos Martínez.

«Productive meeting with the Ambassador of Spain in our country, Ramón Santos Martínez, with whom we trace lines of work in order to strengthen matters of bilateral and multilateral interest in the Ibero-American scenario, as instructed by our President @NicolasMaduro“, published the Chancellor on Twitter.

Credentials

On January 24 of this year, Ramón Santos Martínez delivered the letters credentials that accredit the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, as ambassador of Spain in the country.

With the delivery of the credentials, Venezuela and Spain reestablished their diplomatic relations, after in 2020 the Spanish Government removed its ambassador in Caracas and did not name a successor.

Likewise, it should be noted that the National Assembly approved on January 10 the designation of Coromoto Godoy as the new ambassador of Venezuela to Spain.
