Santo Domingo.-President Luis Abinader issued Decree 6-23 with which he prohibits the purchase of vehicles, air tickets that are not authorized for public servants who do not have the corresponding permit to go abroad, and also first class tickets. .
The decree includes the prohibition of the purchase of promotional items, printing or informative bulletins of accountability, as well as parties, receptions, celebrations and other similar activities, the only exception being those carried out by the Presidency and the Ministries of Tourism and Foreign Affairs in honor of heads of state or official delegations that visit the country.
This year the Government will not be able to make any gifts, acquire vouchers from commercial establishments, Christmas baskets, except those that are given to low-income people, nor will it be possible to rent facilities to celebrate activities.
It indicates that only the president, the ministers of the Armed Forces and Interior and Police, the director of the National Police, the attorney general, the general commanders of the military forces, the president of the Directorate may have motorized flankers during the year 2023.
