Despite the fact that the Covid-19 positivity rate has decreased and is at 3%, the authorities of the metropolitan health region reiterate to the population that they go to medical centers to apply the vaccines offered by the health system in a manner free, through the Expanded Program on Immunization (PAI).
They explained that according to the database of the regional surveillance system, a total of 147,469 doses (first, second, third and booster) have been applied against Covid-19, while a total of 7,047 doses correspond to the bivalent vaccine. ; the application of the complete vaccination scheme is carried out in the 19 Health Centers that make up the Metropolitan region, from 7:30 am to 2:00 pm Monday through Friday.
A few days before carnival, a festivity of great mobilization towards the interior of the country, it is recommended that people apply the doses against Covid-19, because the vaccine protects against the severity of the disease, but it does not prevent it from giving you, which has been scientifically supported, indicated the Health authorities.
Likewise, other measures are recommended for those who attend the mojaderas, beaches, rivers and other places of recreation to protect health such as the use of sunscreen, hydration by drinking water, fruits and natural juices, using caps, hats or umbrellas, clothing with light colors, long-sleeved shirts that protect from UV rays and sunglasses, in addition to frequent hand washing.
In this same context, the population is informed that for the days of carnival the Parque Lefevre Police Center, the Veracruz Health Center and the Minsa-Capsi de Las Garzas will be enabled to attend to people who need it during a 7 a.m. :00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
