In 2023 Somos Venezuela will be deployed throughout the 335 municipalities

For this year 2023, the Somos Venezuela Movement has prepared an ambitious agenda for which it will be deployed in the 335 municipalities of the country, with the aim of continuing to promote the social policies of the national government and carrying the banners of solidarity, respect and unity to every corner of the country.

“We have quite an ambitious agenda, a deployment schedule municipality by municipality, we will visit the 335 municipalities,” said the general secretary of the Somos Venezuela Movement, Vanessa Montero, in a television interview.

Montero added that when visiting “the territories, people ask us to go to the most distant states and this year we will visit the 335 municipalities of the country, to bring the most important elements we have: organization, participation and inclusion.”

In this sense, he noted that “everyone who wants to contribute to the country here is the Somos Venezuela Movement, a platform that includes respecting diversity, with the firm purpose of building the country we want.”

When celebrating the five years of the MovementMontero stressed that during these years the Somos Venezuela Movement has traveled the country and has done a great job.

“Since the Caravan of Hope, which allowed us to deploy throughout the country, we have traveled Venezuela carrying a message of peace and hope, framed in the diversity that exists, hoisting the flags of respect and unity,” he added.

26 sectoral networks

Vanessa Montero, who is also a deputy to the National Assembly (AN), highlighted that the movement currently has 26 networks sectors among which sex diversity, spirituality, peasants, businessmen, middle class, women, entrepreneurs, among others, stand out.

These sectoral networks “are the spinal cord of the Somos Venezuela Movement, that in the midst of respect we can all build the Venezuela power that we all want”; In this sense, he stressed that respect is essential.

Big challenges

For Vanessa Montero, among the great challenges for this year 2023 is the promotion of a training agenda that addresses issues such as sovereignty, geopolitics, the voluntary termination of pregnancy, gender diversity, sanctions, among others.

Venezuela bets on peace

Likewise, Montero emphasized that Venezuela is committed to peace, because also as a country “we have very beautiful characteristics of solidarity and commitment.”

In this sense, he pointed out that the Venezuelan is supportive, a characteristic “that permeates a lot in society when there are sectors that call for violence, destabilization, and people do not follow these speeches, because what the population wants is to build a powerful Venezuela, productive, therefore, from the Somos Venezuela Movement, we raise these values ​​”.

«Peace is paramount, to move forward we must have peace. Together and together we build the Venezuela we want », he said.

We Are Venezuela Movement

The Somos Venezuela Movement was born in June 2017, with the aim of monitoring and providing direct attention to the more than 16 million citizens who decided to register with the Carnet de la Patria.

By January 2018, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, decided to legalize the movement as a political party and on January 29 of that same year the National Electoral Council (CNE) accepted the request.
