The legal situation of the general secretary of the Trade Union Federation of Professional Soccer Players of Bolivia (FABOL), David Paniagua, it can get complicated in the next few hourssince the president of the Court of Honor of the San José club, Ernesto Araníbar, announced that the Orureña institution will adhere to the lawsuit filed by the family of Marco Ferrufino against Paniagua, apprehended this Monday in Santa Cruz and accused of alleged scam.

“We will be tomorrow (this Tuesday) appearing before the prosecutor of the city of El Alto (place where Paniagua was sued) to constitute ourselves as multiple victims in this case. I will go in the morning, ”he affirmed to TEN the Oruro leader on Monday night, from the city of Oruro.

The representative of San José considers that Paniagua should be apprehended, because according to him there is a risk of flightbut he must also render accounts to all the clubs, that money was pledged to him in favor of Fabol and that it is not known if the players were paid or not.

“In this particular case with San José, a double crime was committed. First, because he received money, which was from the club, and he did not hand it over. he made us look bad and second, he did not give Professor Ferrufino the $8,000 prize and that is where another crime of fraud is committed, which is why his family sued him,” Araníbar explained.

He added that in the last few hours some former players from San José have contacted him and that they will also join the lawsuit. against Paniagua to try to recover the money owed to them, meanwhile, the leader of Fabol continues to be apprehended pending his informative statement that will be this Tuesday in El Alto.

Araníbar indicated that in 2019 the club was pledged $450,000 in favor of Fabol, but that the footballers’ representative never rendered an account, nor did he present a delivery receipt to the beneficiaries. “With this situation, the Ferrufino family can also sue us and with good reason, because they did not give them their money, which the San José club owes them,” he said.

Paniagua is also accused of allegedly not giving Ferrufino (died on June 25, 2021, due to Covid) $32,000 while he was alive, that in this case it corresponded to him for a debt from the Sport Boys Warnes club, so the lawsuit against the Fabol leader is for $40,000, which is now claimed by the family of Marco Ferrufino.
