Fernández issued his statements during a large political activity, indoors, held this Sunday in the municipality of Maimón, Monseñor Nouel province, where councilor Rubén Orlando García Santana (El Macho) was sworn in as a member of the FP, from the PRM, who was The one who obtained the most votes in the 2020 municipal elections, Santana García entered and was sworn in to the FP along with his team and dozens of followers of the government party, who were also sworn in to the FP.

Likewise, Leonel Fernández affirmed that the tenants of the National Palace “are trembling with fear” with what is happening in the Fuerza del Pueblo party.

The leader of the Dominican opposition made it known that, due to this fear, government officials are taking to the streets to win followers, without realizing that “it is from the PRM that they come to the People’s Force.”

Fernández said he was building an organization that represents the desire for progress of the majority of the Dominican people, referring to the Fuerza del Pueblo.

“We are working to achieve the goal of 2 million affiliates by June of this year and thus guarantee victory in 2024,” he stressed.

Councilor Garcia Santana

Councilor García Santana resigned last week from the government party in a letter sent to the president of that organization, José Ignacio Paliza.

The building official, along with his political team, justified his resignation from the PRM to despair and breach of promises of the current ruler, Luis Abinader, with the inhabitants of Maimon and the country.

Another of the reasons that led to the departure of García Santana, from the ruling party, was the mistreatment received by the high leadership of the PRM. “We had never been in another party that was not the PRM (PRD), and today we are filled with pride and joy in taking this firm step, because we know that you (Leonel Fernández) will be the next president of the Republic,” said García Santana. .

Other PRM coordinators, in different sectors of the Maimón municipality who were sworn in this Sunday in the Fuerza del Pueblo party were Henry Payano Morel, Héctor Luis Almánzar, Arelis Adames, José Luis Jiménez, Pedro Manuel Gálvez, Ruddy de la Cruz, Mauricio de Jesus Ulloa, Robert Contreras and Pedro Antonio Nova. In addition, José Milagro Feliz, Claudio Saúl Alejo, Yinardo Reyes, María de la Cruz, Beatriz Almonte, Aracelis Santana, Beato Lara, Starlig García, Yomalqui de la Cruz, Rafaela Eunice Santos, Reinado Peña de Jesús and Isidro Reyes, are part of the leaders who left the PRM and who were sworn in by Leonel Fernández.
