Between Sunday and Monday, 12 thousand 521 cases of covid-19 and 198 deaths were added to the registry of the Ministry of Health (SSa), for a total of 4 million 942 thousand 590 people who have had the disease and 306 thousand 91 who have lost life.
In yesterday’s report, the epidemic curve maintained the downward trend in the speed of infections, with less than 30 percent in the period from January 16 to 22, compared to the previous week. It remains the most pronounced reduction in the fourth wave of infections, which was distinguished by the accelerated growth in the transmission of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the first weeks of the year.
