After Mrs. Elizabeth Díaz denounced in the media the alleged violation of the right to health, after undergoing surgery in 2016, Human Rights Officers from the La Chorrera Regional Office of the Ombudsman attended this weekend week to Rincón Solano No. 2, to his residence to accompany him in the process.
Díaz denounced that since the surgery he has been using an ostomy bag; that it must be changed from time to time; but this year the process has not even been carried out at the Santo Tomás Hospital; nor in the Nicolás Solano supposedly due to lack of spare parts.
The Ombudsman’s Office revealed that they have already managed to coordinate the laboratory tests that he requires at the Nicolás A. Solano Hospital and will also provide transportation facilities to the Santo Tomás Hospital, located in Panama City to attend his appointments.
