MADRID, Spain.- One person died and seven were injured in an accident that occurred this weekend in the area known as Peñón del Fraile, in the Santa Cruz del Norte municipality, in the Mayabeque province.
According to comments in the group of Facebook “BUSES & TRUCKS ACCIDENTS for more experience and fewer victims!”, a taxi that was traveling with several passengers collided head-on with a Hyundai brand car.
A tire on the taxi allegedly blew out, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. Both the deceased (who was traveling next to the driver) and most of the injured were taxi passengers, some tourists.
“Tremendous accident, I witnessed it with my eyes,” said user Raysel Pineda Pérez.
While Yadira García commented: “I spent with my husband when the firefighters and the tapes were still there, very sad.”
Traffic accidents in Cuba
