Exports to the US increased more than 23% in the January-November period

The to the US between January and November 2022 they totaled US$7.73 billion and were driven by value-added products. The general result of that period, in addition, was 23.4% higher than that of 2021, reported Comex Peru.

Exports of value-added or non-traditional products reached US$5,011 million, 20.5% more than what was registered between January and November 2021.

Among this type of shipments, agricultural and iron and steel products stood out, with an increase of 367.8% and 335.7%.

To a lesser extent, textile shipments stood out, which increased 44.4%.

The most exported products were blueberries and fresh grapes, which committed US$666 million (+15.2%) and US$409 million (+27%).

They were followed by natural calcium phosphates with US$266 million (+80%), fresh avocados with US$231 million (+36.4%), and fresh asparagus (23.3%).

As for traditional products, these totaled US$2,719 million, increasing 29.4% compared to the first eleven months of 2021.
