Colombian television is in mourning due to the death of Dora Cadavid, ‘Dona Inesita’, the favorite dressmaker of Hugo Lombardi (Julián Arango), fashion designer from ‘ecomoda’, fictitious company where the story of “Betty, the ugly” was developed, considered the most successful soap opera in history.
At 84 years old and due to complications associated with a condition in one of her lungs, the life of this Paisa actress who spent her last years in a nursing home was extinguished.
This provoked some reactions among viewers and followers of Dora’s artistic career, who questioned the loved ones of ‘inesita’ for not “wanting” to be close to this woman who is considered one of the best actresses in the history of performing arts in Colombia.
However, Dora “did not want to be a burden for any of her relatives,” and for this reason, she made the decision that she be better cared for in a nursing home in the city of Bogotá.
During all this time, Dora has been related (as her grandson) to Diego Cadavid, for having the same surname. However, the Paisa actor, model, musician and photographer is not a relative of the deceased actress.
Diego Cadavid is not part of the family tree of ‘inesita’, with whom he also shared a set in “Ugly Betty”. Let us remember that the young man from Bogotá played the role of ‘Roman’, a bum from the neighborhood ‘Betty’ who, together with his gang, bullied ‘Nicholas’ already the same ‘Beatriz Pinzon Solano’.
Proof of this is that Dora had only one son named Moisés Cadavid, also an actor remembered for his performance with a secondary role in the successful series ‘Passion of Hawks’. He died on October 23 in the city of Barranquilla as a result of pancreatic cancer.

The presenter, actress and journalist is the daughter of a sister of Dora Cadavid, called Hilda, who died a couple of years ago.
In Dora’s last years, Ma’ria Cecilia was very close to her, she always visited her in the nursing home.
“María C”, as she is known on Colombian TV, recently gave her voice to give life to “Alma”, Mirabel Madrigal’s grandmother.
She posted a message on her social networks to remember her aunt and thank Colombians for their messages of solidarity.
“Thank you all so much for joining us at this sad time with your loving messages of condolences. Rest in peace, Dorita,” the actress posted.
