LAS AMERICAS AIRPORT. -Aeropuertos Dominicanos Siglo XXI (Aerodom), clarified that JetBlue flight 236 bound for New York from Cibao International Airport that landed at this air terminal did not declare an emergency.
Aerodom spokesman Luis José López said that although the pilot of the aircraft reported heating problems in one of its engines, he never declared it an emergency.
He specified that the aircraft N705JB, type A322, was towed towards cargo and the 170 passengers were rescued by contingency flight B6 8565, coming from Fort Lauderdale.
While the aircraft that presented the damage remains on the cargo platform.
