Strong rise in employment in the IT sector in the last 5 years

The Computer Work Observatory (OTI) of the Computing Trade Association (AGC) presented this week a report on job in the field of Software and Computer Services (SSI), in which they highlighted that, until the last release of information in 2022, the computer industry employs more than 142,826 workers. These employees, who mostly work in a dependency relationship, constitute a growth in employment in the sector corresponding to 44.5% compared to January 2017.

These data on the job in IT (Information Technology) were presented at the Kirchner Cultural Center (CCK), where the director of the OTI, Esteban Sargiotto, drew attention to the laws that regulate and promote this activity as the Software Promotion Law (LPS) and the Knowledge Economy Law (LEC). Sargiotto said: “the amount of subsidies that (companies) received, which only the LEC, in two years, was 42 million pesos.”
