Health Route Data

More than 86,000 families have been impacted through the Health Route in the provinces where they have been carried out. In this sense, 13,500 medical consultations have been offered, including 4,400 dental consultations. Likewise, 8,800 corrective lenses have been delivered, 600 pints of blood have been collected, as well as wheelchairs, medicines, among other supplies.

Activities

The “Health Route: Change your Lifestyle”, began this Friday the 27th and ends this Saturday the 28th at the Fabio Rafael González sports center, located on Avenida Luís Ginebra in this town.

This event began with various consultations headed by the Minister of Health and a large number of medical professionals from the National Health Service (SNS), the Ramón de Lara Military Teaching Hospital and others.

Likewise, in this activity, a healthy cooking workshop is also developed, by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), guidance on chronic diseases and health promotion issues in a general sense, also posts for cardio metabolic evaluation.

Similarly, during the day there was a gathering with older adults and pregnant women, as well as raffles and donation of some items, children’s activities on healthy habits, educational talks for young people, opening of health services by the National Health Service (SNS), talk on care and follow-up for pregnant women, discussion with the elderly, as well as for adolescents on early pregnancies, mental health, driver’s education, typification and blood donation, among other services.
