Godfather: Trump financed a war against Venezuela

Godfather to the US: Latin America is no longer a piece of land to loot

The Defense Minister, Vladimir Padrino López, emphasized this Friday that the administration of the former president of the United States (USA), Donald Trump, financed a war against Venezuela, in order to create scenarios for the invasion.

Through his account on the social network Twitter, Padrino López showed an excerpt from the book written by the former US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, who asserted that Trump’s plan was to “make life so miserable” for the National Government, to for the military to make “a deal with the opposition.”

“We hoped to make life so miserable for the regime so that Maduro and his thugs would have to make a deal with the opposition (…) At various times, President Trump, John Bolton and I suggested the military option for Venezuela,” says one of the excerpts from the book Never Give An Inch.

In this regard, Minister Padrino López pointed out that this is “another confession” by members of the Trump Cabinet

«Another confession from who was Secretary of State in the Trump administration: they contemplated invading us and financed a war against Venezuela counting on the subversive faction that has tried by undemocratic means to achieve political power. What nerve! THEY WILL NOT MAKE IT! »He wrote on the social network.

It should be remembered that, this Thursday, the National Assembly announced the start of an investigation into the revelations made by the former Secretary of State in his book, as it is a story about the macabre plans hatched against Venezuela.

Meeting with the UN High Commissioner

This Friday, in addition, Padrino López held a meeting with the United Nations (UN) High Commissioner for Human Rights (DDHH), Volker Türk, who is in Venezuela to fulfill a work agenda.

Through his account on the social network Twitter, the minister explained that, during the meeting, it was agreed to advance on human rights.

“Pleasant and fruitful meeting with the High Commissioner of the #UN for Human Rights, Volker Türk. The #HRD They are a constitutional mandate and a State policy in Venezuela. We will continue to advance in this matter, because for us the use of weapons is an ethical issue, “he wrote on the social network.
