This proposal was released this Friday along with the election date, but other important points are also required.
In the document, it is stated that “the President of the Republic currently in office would call for general elections, which are held in October 2023”, and her term would still end on “December 31, 2023, with the exception of the term provided in article 112 of the Constitution”.

In this way, the swearing in of a new president is given, which would take place on January 1, 2024, the date on which he is expected to assume functions.

This text has been the one originally presented by Guerra García for the debate on the advancement of general elections. This through a request for reconsideration that was approved by Congress this Friday with a total of 78 votes in favor and 34 votes against.
It is expected that other proposals put forward by congressmen from other benches will be added to this text so that the debate on the advancement of elections is attended to as soon as possible in response to the demonstrations that continue to take place in the capital.
It should be noted that none of the approaches by the other benches conceive of Boluarte’s removal from the position of president that the protesters demand so much as a consequence of the more than 50 deaths that have been accumulating during his government.
