MIAMI, United States. – The Cuban singer Dianelys Alfonso Cartaya, popularly known as La Diosa, arrived this Friday in the city of Miami with parole humanitarian, thanks to the help of a sponsor whose identity has not been revealed.
The Goddess left Cuba accompanied by her partner, known as Rey El Mago, and their daughter.
Shortly after 1:30 p.m. this Friday, the influencers Cuban Alexander Otaola and journalist Mario J. Pentón reported that La Diosa was traveling to the United States. “The Goddess is flying to Miami, with her entire family, thanks to a sponsor. She in an hour she lands ”, wrote Otaola on Facebook at 1:32 p.m.
Also on Facebook, Penton confirmed information. “[La Diosa] He called me from the plane to tell me that he is on his way to Miami and he does it through the new parole humanitarian. Very excited she told me. (…) The 40-pound lady is coming,” said Pentón.
La Diosa has a long history of censorship on the island, where her concerts, the airing of her music, and her television appearances have been banned.
In an interview given to CubaNet In October 2021, the singer assured that she had never expected to be rejected in her own country.
The artist was referring to the disapproval she has suffered from the island’s cultural authorities due to her criticism of the Cuban regime and her projection on social networks.
“From a very young age I wanted to be a singer, and I did not have the possibility of being the daughter of mom and dad. So she knew that she had to fight alone. The only thing I never expected in life was to be rejected in my own country. That was something that lasted well for me, that at the beginning I suffered a lot and it caused me depression, ”she said.
However, La Diosa explained that “little by little” she was realizing that she could use social networks “in a very positive way and could look for another audience”.
Even so, he assured that he was “very sorry” for the Cubans residing on the island, to whom he would love to sing. “I know that he may not be able to do a concert for them one day. Maybe yes, maybe not. I don’t know, but I already lost hope, ”she assured.
With that conviction, the singer assured that she had sought the strength and strategies, and had focused on “another public” through the networks to continue her career. “What could not be her,” she maintained, “is that she did nothing for me and they simply defeated me.”
