A delegation from the leadership of the La Patria Movement with Abel, deposited an offering at the Altar de la Patria in Parque Independencia, in commemoration of the 210th anniversary of the birth of Juan Pablo Duarte.
The movement, which supports the presidential candidacy of Abel Martinezis made up of structures at the national level and in the Foreignmade up of Dominican women and men who promote and exalt patriotic values, the defense of sovereignty and Dominican identity.
“On January 26, 210 years ago, Juan Pablo Duarte was born, and thanks to him, we are called Dominicans. Duarte is the ideologue of the Dominican flag and to whom we owe that today we are a free and sovereign country”, said Lorenzo García, president of the movement during the offering.
Also present at the event were Lorenzo Rosario, regional coordinator; José Toribio, president of the Association of Entrepreneurs of the Colonial Zone; Leonady Hinojosa, candidate for deputy for the PLD abroad; Professor Tomás Méndez, municipal president of Batey 8 and leader of the Independencia province; Sócrates Lozano, hotel businessman from the Colonial Zone, among others.
